summer holidays at last

Over the last week whilst dabbling at making teachers pressies I also hit upon the idea of could i make envelopes into something similar to a paper bag album (me who has never done scrapbooking or paper bag albums come to that though i did partipate in a CJ once) well this is the result though its not for a teacher but for my mum who last year discovered my nana had a few old photos we didn't know existed and borrowed them and took copies

Successful Day all told

Even with boys on school holidays i have managed to do some crafts inparticular transferring a stamped image to a candle which also fits in with my target this month as a member of Auntys Forum Design Team to do some altered art Also as part of Auntys forum we have teams and this month we have been set the challenge of projects involving silhouettes i have done a few cards so far and today i managed a couple more

over a Month

Can't believe its over a month since i last blogged - seem so tied up with family and in particular hospital appointments i don't seem to have the time I have been busy crafting though My Dads birthday for starters His shed is the bug of my poor mums life she would love to sort it but daren't so this card was just begging to be made

oops because i didn't realise i had left it so long Between family hassles and runnibf DS2 to hospital and back over his dratted feet i just don't seem to have enough hours in the day to do what i want But as we approach the end of the month i made myself some me time today and completed my projects for the month as i am on Aunty's design team and needed to upload my finished results Heres a peek at what i achieved

Silly Saturday

Well a friend is getting married but to keep costs down wants to make her own invites however is picking my brains She has never made a card before let alone 50 invites so i am trying to keep ideas simple The stipulation is blue and gold - difficult in itself cos thats a warm and a cold colour so should it be on a white or a cream card Anyhow i have played around with these colours but used my own image as they want to put their photograph on but thats not ready yet so heres my interpretation for them to play around with

Half term nearly over - Yay

Well even with the boys home i have managed some crafting an entry for the Arty Girlz challenge http://www.artygirlzchallengeblog.blogspot.com/ was an oriental card in pale green and pink in fact as you can see i've made quite a few this week

What a Week

Well what a week that was DS2 had to go into hospital initially for an operation on a broken wrist that isn't healing but due to his ingrowing toe nails being infected they wouldn't do it i did however persuade them to operate on his toes as this has been an ongoing saga for two years now He is home the pain is better and tomorrow we have to go back to the hospital to have them looked at and redressed I finally got around to doing a spot of card making today a blue willow card for my other sister whose birthday is next month and a beach scene for a challenge over at Auntys Forum (my second home according to family ' giggle' ) It had to involve paint so i used perfect pearls for shimmery sand and dress

For My Sister

Its my Sisters 50th Birthday on Sunday so i made this card - she loves fairies and i have these mameloks that i bought ages ago As its a really special Birthday i wanted to do something special so i decided on a springy card Fingers crossed she likes it

This is a whole new learning curve for me so bear with me whilst i find my feet. Not felt this nervous since i found the world of forums Lets hope i find my way back here tomorrow
